With Katy, Taylor and Russell
Check out this brilliant Westside Story inspired promo for the upcoming MTV VMAs - they're calling it VMA Side Story - which features Cobra Starship, Leighton Meester, Ne-Yo, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and the award show's host, Russell Brand.Although, let's be honest, MTV always make a good promo (even if this song is a little sub-par), but the awards can go either way. This half of the 'Brain thinks Russell is always good value, but the VMAs very often throw up very odd winners for awards - Britney won for "Piece Of Me", really? - but at least the list of performers, including Pink, Green Day and Lady Gaga, is impressive this year.
PS: Whenever I hear Taylor sing non-country songs I wish she'd dump the twangy guitars and do real music.
