Michael Jackson's last rehearsals

Moonwalker
MJ's final performances

The world is Michael Jackson obsessed at the moment, following his untimely passing, and it seems The 'Brain can't escape it either.
Today we have been stunned by these pictures, taken two days before his death, of MJ rehearsing for his ill-fated London concerts at the Staples Center in LA.
The pics have been posted on website TMZ, who not only broke the story of his death, but have been relentless with the accuracy of the events that have followed.
Not only does Michael look surprisingly good in the pics, the set and costuming look to have been moving with the times while staying classic Jacko. There's his trademark "Smooth Criminal" get-up, for instance, but no sign of those horrible gold leotard things he wore on the HIStory tour.
It looks like tour promoters AEG are set to lose serious cash with the concerts no longer taking place, and word is a DVD and CD of his final rehearsals - which were filmed by multiple cameras in HD - could be released to recoup some costs.
Certainly it would make fascinating viewing.

Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett dead

Farrah Fawcett passes,
Michael Jackson dead?

Here at The 'Brain, we thought the worst news we'd hear this morning (our time) was of Farrah Fawcett's sad passing after a battle with illness but reports of king of pop Michael Jackson's cardiac rest and, now, death (confirmed by web site TMZ but here's hoping they are super wrong) have made the day even worse. So sad.

We'll update later - and let's all hope the MJ death report is way off the mark in the meantime - but for now here's the latest:

Michael Jackson dead at 50:

Farrah Fawcett has passed:

Sad face.

UPDATE: The LA Times has confirmed MJ's death. :(
