PARTY MASH-UP ALERT!

I often change my mind over whether mash-ups are a good idea or the death of music. Anyway, pro-skiier Andrew Hathaway took some time off from hitting the slopes - I know not why - and mixed the Miley Cyrus hit and The 'Brain favourite "Party In The USA" with the Notorious B.I.G. "Party And Bulls***"

So while Miley continues her hissy fit departure from Twitter, you might as well have a listen. Is it any good? Look, it's not as dreadful, blasphemous nor heinous as the idea sounds (ie. it's already on my iPod). Check it...

The accompanying video has - finally! - been released and Miley is certainly out to prove she's all grown up with her skimpy outfits and raunchy dance moves... and a swing ride... did we mention the swing? Check it out:





MC's prob gonna get a hard time over being a bad role model and stuff from Hannah Montana fan parents... but, whatevs, it's a top song. Pop will not be stopped, y'all!

Kathy Griffin takes Levi Johnston to the Teen Choice Awards

The ‘Brain – or at least the portion of The ‘Brain currently typing – loves a bit of Kathy Griffin. In fact, I was once filmed by the My Life On The D-List crew and they never used me on the show. Can you believe it? Yes, I can too.

The same said person also got rather a large chuckle when Kathy turned up at the Teen Choice Awards with 19-year-old Levi Johnston – baby daddy to Tripp, son of Bristol Palin, who, in turn, is the daughter of failed US Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

As if the hilarity of the unlikely pairing on the red carpet wasn’t enough, Kathy had Levi on as a guest when she filled in as host on Larry King Live on CNN.

It was car crash hilarious as Kathy made inappropriate comments and Levi did... whatever it is Levi does. I especially loved his critique of Miley Cyrus’s pole dancing Teen Choice Awards performance: “inappropriate”.

I’d like to say Levi is a good sport, but I’m not entirely convinced that he’s in on the joke. And while I understand relations with the Palins are not exactly at an all-time high, I don’t think this is helping matters – and mate, you’re going to have to be dealing with them for quite some time yet.

It might be 10 minutes, but it sure gave me a good laugh.

While we're back on the subject, check out a clearer version of Miley's skanktastic (sorry Miles) pole dancing performance of "Party In The USA". Guffaw as she kicks off the song by coming out of a trailer (for realz ya'll!), delight at the fact she has changed the "Jay-Z" lyric to "Michael" ("MJ" would have clearly been a better fit) and marvel at the "I'm A Slave 4 U" dancing when she name drops Britney.

Right, so it's the best thing she's done since "See You Again" - which, natch, was awesome also - and now she's gone and ruined it all with a pole dance (a POLE. DANCE.) at today's Teen Choice Awards. I hate to be all unfun but, dude, you're 16.... poles are not for you. The grainy fan footage of the incident is here but we don't blame you if you can't stomach too much of it...



Oh, she's just being Miley.

A word of advice? Step. Away. From. The. Pole.

Oh look! It’s more “scandalous” Miley Cyrus pics!
Actually it’s Miley posing with and for director Adam Shankman as they shoot her new fillum The Last Song, as posted on his Twitter account.
Not surprisingly, they have caused a mini-controversy.
“Miley is a sweet angel who works tirelessly and endlessly, and is allowed to have fun in the make up room!” tweets Adam in their defence. “Seriously! Lighten up or no more behind the scenes pics! She's like my angel little sister.”

Let’s be honest, while Miley has posed for a few vaguely suggestive pics - on her phone and for Annie Leibovitz - she’s never actually crossed the line. You know, like a few other (former) Disney stars (i.e.: we’ve all seen Britney and Lindsay’s bits).
These days, 16-year-old kids take a lot of photos of themselves; it’s just how the new sexy-tech world works. The problem Miley has made is being famous. Oops!
All of that aside, Adam is an adult and should have been a little bit more aware that anything Miley does makes news and that it turns out the media can see Twitpics.
Lucky for us, because the pic we were most excited to find in Adam’s account was one with The Last Song co-star Liam Hemsworth.Go Liam!

WATCH Nick Jonas & Miley: it's back on!

If you've secretly hooked back up with your ex - especially a famous ex! - make sure you don't tell Joe Jonas about it... because he's likely to tell millions of people! While on Larry King Live, the brothers Jonas were asked about their love lives. Larry asked Joe if the girl he's currently dating is as famous as Nick's unconfirmed-until-now girlfriend (side note: Nick and Miley dated - see above pic - but had a bitter break up at the end of 2007. Althought they've dated other people, recently they've been spotted together but romance has been denied). Without thinking, Joe responded, "I don't think anyone's as famous as Miley Cyrus." Clang! You can sort of tell just as he says it that he realises what he's done and Nick seems genuinely quite rattled.

One word: Awkward. Yet also brilliant. So, so brilliant. Skip all the boring stuff and watch from about the 1.45 mark. Observe...




Oh, it's so awkward. Marvellous!

We’ve already ranted about the merits of our pal Chris Hemsworth here at The ‘Brain, and now it is his soon-to-be-superstar little bro Liam’s turn.
Best known for his recurring role as Josh Taylor on Neighbours, this year Liam made the move to the US and within seconds (approx.) was getting noticed – much like Chris did. Already he is set to star alongside Sly Stallone after impressing the sequel-loving star, but right now he is about to head to Savannah, Georgia to start shooting teen romance The Last Song with Miley Cyrus.

And Miley can’t hide her delight.
“I got a hot boy,” Miley drooled on the MTV Movie Awards red carpet. “I can't say that too many times, but he is attractive. Not bad to look at for the summer.”
Written by The Notebook and A Walk To Remember author Nicholas Sparks, the film, in which Miley plays a rebellious teen who moves in with her estranged dad, is likely to have plenty of kissy-kissy type scenes. Although Miley is keeping schtum on that.
“Maybe,” she pips. “I don't know.”
Of course she does.

This only leaves eldest Hemsworth brother Luke, also an actor, to land a big fillum role.
