Heather Locklear back on Melrose Place

The saviour returns!
Heather is back, bitches

US TV network The CW has just confirmed that Heather Locklear will be returning to Melrose Place in their update of the ‘90s night-time soap.

Heather, who played advertising executive Amanda Woodward on the original series for six and a bit seasons (she was famously billed as “special guest star” for her entire run), was credited with saving the show, which was struggling until she showed up at the end of the first season.

Heather will hit US screens on November 17, but while nobody is saying how long she’ll stick around, given the show’s so-so ratings we’re thinking the network will do what it can to have her stay put.

We’re ecstatic to have the chance to bring Amanda Woodward back to Melrose Place,” Blab MP2 executive producers Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer in their press release. “Heather’s involvement in the show is something we’ve been working on for some time as we couldn’t imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character’s inclusion.”

Wonder who caved on the ol' money issue?
